This doesn show the entire city, but there is an interesting before-and-after view of Saddam's palace grounds.

Also found a blog that has pictures from before, during, and after the war--more personal photos than surveys of the city.

That is comical, what do you think happened to Hiroshima? Nagasaki? Most of Germany during WWII?

Was that a just enough war for you? By comparison doesn't seem like we have done much damage at all does it?

The best site for a visual is Google Earth and next would be http://www.maps.com You wont be able to be swayed by the right when you realize this place is totally destroyed with the Iraqi people still trying to survive there.

LOL. "ruined the City" good one. Tommy Franks went out of his way not to hit some important items when we bombed them. Read his book.

You could probably find satellite images online if you wanted to.

The city was quite ruined under Hussein but I'm sure you never bothered to check that first .............

I'm sure you will be alel to find some photos. If you are interested, you will probably be able to find some pictures of mass graves also, thanks to Saddam.
