I ate strawberries religiously my first 6 months of pregnancy!!! It is NOT a good craving because they are so expensive here. I didn't crave any other fruit but them! Now at 7 months I crave milkshakes (but not regular ice cream-- I have a pregnancy aversion to ice cream) How weird is that??!!!!

Not strawberries...but I do crave oranges (30 weeks)...I never got too excited about oranges before...
while you could be having pregnancy cravings...it could be just regular cravings. Before I was pregnant (and still do) whenever I started to get thirsty or dehydrated I would CRAVE fruit...anything...oranges, watermelon, apples, any kind of fruit...and then as soon as I had some water or whatever the cravings went away...So now I know that when I start to feel like I will go into a rage if I don't have an orange or some fruit...I grab a glass of water and drink up...I know my body is telling me that I'm thirsty. So maybe your body is just craving something it needs!
Either way, good luck! And go get a thing of strawberries! :)

I craved strawberries and buffalo wings.
In all seriousness, craving usually do not start until 2-3 months into the pregnancy, so use that as a test.

At 22 weeks pregnant, I gave into a crazy craving and got on eBay and bought a box of 36 ct Laffy Taffy in Watermelon (with the seeds!) Remember those???
When I was newly pregnant, I ate grilled cheese sandwiches religiously and even bought a grilled cheese maker so I could make one while eating the other :-X
So yes! I felt that way!!!

Yes, I craved strawberries and every other type of fruit under the sun during my first three months. Now that I'm six months I crave everything that I supposedly can't have like beer and caffeine!!

In most cases (but not all cases) you are craving what your body needs in nutrients and that is why you get these cravings. The baby is requiring something so I say go with the strawberries and enjoy them. Here is the scoop on strawberries if you need it.

I totally craved fresh fruit when I was pregnant -- however, NOTstrawberries! I've always loved them, but when I was pregnant they tasted incredibly soapy to me...it was SO weird! I thought I'd be eating tons of sweets & pies & cookies & gain WAY too much weight, but all I really craved was hot sauce (something I NEVER liked!) & fruit. I gained excactly the right amount of weight during my pregnancy & then lost almost ALL of it right after delivery. Wow! Good luck!

cravings when your pregnany is just a myth it what women do to get that extra attention. I have 2 children and i never had any strange cravings in the middle of the night. But i did eat a lot of perogies with my first pregnancy and with my second i didnt eat much since my mum was in the hospital. i sure could go for a banana milkshake right now though lol

Nope. Never strawberries. My cravings were:
My First: Sugary Juices (especially snapple)
My second: Watermelon and Swiss Chocolate
This one: Apples and Chocolate cupcakes.
(I'm actually eating a chocolate cupcake as I type this)
