any english men marry taiwanese girls in taiwan? pls advise and share the experience with me regarding what documents to prepare to take to taiwan? do those documents cost a lot?

Hi,
- You'll need to provide a document obtained from your nearest police station showing that you have no crimilnal record - this can take a month or two (the application process). This then needs to be authorised and stamped in a special office in London.
- You'll also need to provide evidence that you are not married. This also needs to be stamped and verified.
- Your passport, arc card (you get that in Taiwan) or possibly at the TRO office in the UK. Yes, they stamp these as well.
There are some other documents but Taiwan is notorious for changing it's policies, it would be best for you to do what I did and get your wife to be to call the marriage office and find out what exactly you need.
All this trouble is because the UK and Taiwan don't have 'official' diplomatic relationships due to fear of China - so that's why we get a bit of crap from the Taiwan Gov.
Once you've done all this, you'll then need a medical in Taiwan - they take blood and fecese (sorry).
I went through all this as well for my wife and am now living and working in Taiwan.
Don't pay any attention to the idiots who can't distinguish between Taiwan and Thailand. Who don't know that Taiwan is far more technologically advanced than the UK, has the tallest building in the world, people have a longer life expectancy here than in the UK and that the average Taiwanese person can speak at least 3 languages fluently - English, Mandarin and Taiwanese - many can also speak Japanese and Cantonese as well. Sorry, was I ranting a bit?
Get your wife to find out what you need - I would personally get her to call 2 or 3 times as they sometimes vary what they tell you (if you have some other problem - email me or contact me through my 360 and I'll tell you what ever I can).

Why don't you talk with your g/f first? What kind of papers or anything you need. Try to be realistic.
I am happy for you to find a LOVE for you to get married. I hope you are not getting married spontaneously.
Are you ready for totally differnt food,culture and etc etc?

wow, i didnt know there was so many nasty people out there who jump to automatically racist assumptions about people. Ignore that crap, you are not alone or mad for wanting to marry a girl. I doubt any of them ever knew what love is, and by their attitudes they never will.
I am married to a taiwanese girl and quite happy thank you very much. You need to get a criminal record check from your country. You need to do a medical inside taiwan. Your wife will have to help you get a household registration inside Taiwan.
It is alot of trouble. If you are at all not serious about marrying her, I suggest just living together and being very careful about birth control to avoid messiness of the child issues. It is alot of trouble to go through and hoops to jump through.

I no longer purely could, I did. various over the years in fact. Wound up marrying one. I lived in Japan for 2 years as a youthful guy and all started then. when I went back to the states I endured dating ladies of all races if i assumed they have been lovable and relaxing to be with.sixteen years later I wound up marrying my spouse and shifting back to Japan along with her. they're only as loopy as white women, yet they stay lovable longer.

You can post a want ad in the daily news there. This not only get the exposures you need, it may even become a big news event all on its own.
Once you are in the news, TV etc, you may need to set up a selection arrangement to pick out few hundred semi-finalists.
You may get very busy once you jump into this hot water.

go through all the proper channels.better still go through a agency, it may cost more but you stand a better chance.
