I realise that smoking is harmful and I am trying to stop, but I have always wondered: when I take a draw of a cigarette I only get a little bit of smoke coming back out. When I see other people they have white smoke coming out of them like a chimney?

If that doesn't make you quit... I don't know what will. That is scary.

No offense meant...... good luck to you.

Well, either you are inhaling a lot less than them, or you're holding the smoke in. The longer you hold the smoke in the less will be exhaled.

You inhale more than they do. The less you inhale the more smoke you have coming out of your mouth.
