I'm not talking what tv shows do you think are the best right now, I'm saying which will stand the test of time and why. Personally, I think shows like The Sopranos and Six Feet Under because they have such universal themes and the drama of life and death.

Soap operas like Corrie
Childrens TV will still be around, there will be another incarnation of HOW sometime in the future
There will always be news and sport broadcasts.
Maybe late night horror movies as well.
