Whenever I log on to the internet, a window pops up telling me that Norton has blocked a Virus intrusion. Whats is it about? I mean does the virus wait for me to log on or what? Is it something to worry about?

The virus warning you are seeing is Nortons way of letting you know that some machine on the Internet sent data to your computer that Norton saw as a virus. So it blocked the code from being saved rto your computer. You can disable the warnings if you want, at least with most version s of Norton that I have come across. But I would not disable the virus protection. And yes unless your connected to the Internet their is no way for another computer to "send" you data. But you can also get viruses from disks and Cd's so you should also use the scan feature of Norton once a week if not more often.

Yes... it sounds like norton has detected a file that is trying to send information each time you log on to the net... It's blocking that access but who know's what else is going on. You need to update your virus signatures... and fully scan your computer. You may need to start your computer in safe mode and scan also.
