Crossing of legs is entirely dependent upon the prevailing situation.

If I have a girl I fancy sitting on my left, then my right knee will be on top, and vice versa. If the girl on my left has her left knee on top too, then I've scored!

My mother taught me to cross my ankles not my entire leg. I usually cross right over left.

me left goes under my right, and i can not, physically, sit with my legs the other way. it just doesn't work.
