Very easy to open. You can do so with only your thumb.

Go for the Chocolate flip! (LG VX8600) This has all the software of the regular Chocolate, but in the style of a flip phone! There are touch sensitive buttons on the outside too! Take a look at it!

Chocolates are also VERY touchy with their controls just something to think about...
