Because of the misleading cool commercials?
Mac's crash, get viruses and need upgrades as well.
I guess you people haven't seen the many problem questions here either.

A lot of people do not like Macs because of the attitude of some Mac users. No one likes to be told they are stupid. PC and Macs have become a religious war to some.

Macs and PCs are different one is not better than the other, but I prefer most of the time to use a Macintosh.

Right now Macs are virtually virus free. At work there have been several instances of infected PC's. There has never been a threat of a virus at work on a Mac.

Most of the reasons I could give for why a Macintosh is better than a PC is subjective. Macintosh is usually the choice of creative professionals, while PCs the choice of business.

Mac's and PC's have a few differences - it mostly comes down to personal preference.

Personally, I like both of them. Macs can be a little pricy, but since there are so many people making PC's the hardware is really cheap.

PC's have a lot more software titles, but depending on what you are using your computer for, the Mac has quite a few good titles too.

Most of the problems that Mac users point out about PC's aren't actually problems with the PC, but rather with the users. Viruses for example - 99% of viruses require you to download something, usually an attachment to an e-mail or something (usually promising to be some juicy porn). I haven't gotten a single virus in years - and I don't run any anti-virus software.

The only thing I really don't like about Mac is their commercials - they are retarted. A lot of Mac users tend to be elitist azzholes too.

Honestly now that mac has gone with an Intel processor the PC vs. Mac fight is virtually gone. Many of the products will be cross compatible now. But before all this Macintosh was more of the "professional" computer and windows the "home" computer. Mac has a more complex and production timely environment. PC offers more of a user friendly environment, easier to use and easier to understand. Windows has more virus attacks then Mac. Bill Gates "started" windows but that is a whole different story, best described in the movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley" (1999).

I think many PC users dislike Mac’s not because they suck or anything like that, but because of their elitist rhetorical advertisements, and the way many Mac users buy into them. Many “PC” users will be among the first to tell you their computers aren’t perfect but so many Mac users act like they are members of the Steve Jobs cult.

I’ve used both Mac’s and PC’s and I’ve had both crash on me many times but only the Mac corrupted my USB drive in the process. There have been viruses for Mac’s nowhere near as many viruses as windows but you’d be foolish to believe that this is not due to the dominate percentage of the OS market windows commands. Mac’s are computers and viruses are computer programs so if the Mac OS had even half of the OS market you would see a lot more viruses targeting Mac’s and a lot more Macs being infected.

As a user of both Mac’s and PC’s I have to say neither is better than the other, anything you can do on one you can do on the other. Whichever you use is simply a matter of preference.

What a line UBI! Contrary to popular belief, Macs DO get viruses! There simply arent as many viruses for a Mac because people who write virus software are out to infect all the computers they can! Being Apple only has a hold on 5 percent of the PC buying market, most malware writers dont bother!
Your comment on how you can dual boot a Mac to run windows tells the software story! You CANT run Hi end games on it without a bunch of software and a Windows operating sytem! That speaks for itself! As far as their seamless integration, sure its seamless alright! You cant buy anything for a Mac unless you buy it from Apple! Apple knows this and can charge out the bum for replacement parts and upgrades!
For any Mac software you show me, I can find 50 Windows based applications that will do as good or a better job!
I choose to have the freedom of selecting my hardware from different manufacturers which you can only do with a windows based system.
Support? LOL! Sure! They have support and dont have any quams about charging you out the ****!
The computer buying market tells the story!
Go out and compare the software you can buy for a PC to whats available for a Mac!
P.S. if you rub real hard on the side of a Mac, I hear tell you can see the Fisher Price sticker.....

While there are other reasons like overpricing, incompatibility with 95% of software out there, being designed for complete idiots and amateurs, vanity, the main reason is the arrogance/stupidity/ignorance of members of the "Mac Cult"

This guy explains it (strong language):

Macs now use Intel processors, hackers managed to install Windows onto it, and then Apple supported Windows installation. So now its not much different than a PC except for the OS and its "beautiful looks".

PCs can run worth a darn, macs will chug at a flippin program for years and the program sucks. PC own 90%-99% of the market so when companies make software they make it for pc.
Also those mac ads just piss me off.

Misleading commercials is right. Reason enough for you?

It seems many of you Mac users are happy and excited to have Intel CPUs now, A major PC component, hypocrites your are.

And IMO, the best answer here is as clear as day.
