Does anyone know what the best colleges are for studying foreign languages, either inside or outside the US? I would prefer colleges that offer a broad range of languages and have good international programs as well. Thanks!

Middlebury College in Vermont is excellent for languages. As part of the program, you can study abroad.

Middlebury College is known for their language programs. So is Columbia University and New York University. I have also heard good things about the programs at Indiana University, U Illinois Champaign-Urbana, Harvard, Boston University, University of Iowa, U Texas Austin, Yale, and U North Carolina.

Of course, some of these programs are stronger in certain types of languages than in others. Columbia, for example, is especially strong in the Slavic Languages. Yale, on the other hand, is very strong in the classical languages - Greek and etc.
