I dont know where you live but there are different sites you can post on for free to see if someone is looking for a home for their pet.
You can check out ;
petfinders.com
freecycle.com or join freecycle.org and check out the sites in your local area
Wthr.com go to the classified section and you can either post an ad for free on line or see if any have been offered
And if everthing else fails hamsters are only 4-6 dollars at the store.I know Meijers has them and the pet stores are not much more.

Go to www.recycler.com click on animals,then click on free animals, then write in hamster there in there all the time.
