I haven't seen either live-but from what it looks like James Brown. The Rolling Stones do good, but MicK Jagger is all over the stage, kind of hard to keep an eye on & know exactly what he is doing...

This will be a wierd answer.

There's a band called Dark Star Orchestra that PERFECTLTY recreates every nuance of a bands live performance. Usually they do The Grateful Dead, so a show might be as such, Grateful Dead 11-06-1972 Set 1. It takes a lot of talent for a band to play like the dead but it takes even more to recreate it perfectly. And they are known to do other bands as well.

Jimi Hendrix -to get them all riled up
The Beatles -To have mellow, yet good concert songs
Pink Floyd -To finish the evening
This should all be done in the summer
so when Pink Floyd plays at the end
people can lie down on the grass and gaze at the stars all happy

this is an enticing theory exercising, yet finally improper. ought to Rachmaninoff have certainly improvised with Tatum? Improvisation become on the guts of Tatum's paintings, yet it is not inevitably real for Rach. So if it then turns right into a opposition of who improvises extra useful in front of an aim audience of "all the great musicians in the international from the two Classical and Jazz", Tatum probably wins. yet is this meant to be a opposition? on your question you call it a duel, yet in the tale you call it a duet. huge distinction. Artists of paintings Tatum's and Rachmaninoff's stature certainly would not have something to do with a musical duel of recommendations. Rachmaninoff may well be out of his element improvising at an paintings Tatum stay overall performance and can be a fool to even attempt it. Schoenberg used to hold close out with Gershwin and renowned his music very much, yet he might in no way have tried any variety of duel or duet with Gershwin. only my opinion.
