Am I lazy?

Question

I'm a married mom with an 11month old baby girl. We rent a house and I do all the cleaning here plus taking care of my daughter.
I am also a full time business student and only get A's. Well, or B's.

Some people still keep telling me that I'm lazy.
What do you think?

I think they need to worry about them and stay out of your business!
Who cares what other people think, it's your life that only you have to live. You sound like a hard working mother to me.

No, you are not lazy. I have 5 kids and I am a stay at home mom, and sometimes I think people assume that if you don't work in the secular world,that you are lazy. They are flat out crazy, taking care of an 11 month old baby is a full time job, add to that keeping the house clean and schooling and there is no way you could be described as lazy!! BTW, who exactly is calling you lazy? Could it be hubby? Maybe since you are taking care of the baby, house and school, he could be feeling a little unnecessary? Or maybe he just expects you to do all that and still have acrobatic sex too? Just make sure that you know that you are doing the most important job in the world, taking care of your child.

Being a mother is a full-time job...in addition, being an A and B student is also a full-time job!!!

You should be extremely proud of yourself and your husband should too. You do more work than most people do at their "office jobs". Never let someone make you feel bad for being a mom or a student. Give yourself a pat on the back (especially for pursuing your education when you already have such a busy life caring for a child!!)

People that criticize just don't understand. Don't listen to them or their comments. Know that a lot of women out their admire you!

I think you need to ignore people and concentrate on you and your family...

It sounds like you're doing just fine.

I have a 4 month old and the only thing clean in my house is the nursery and the kitchen...I don't have the time or the energy to clean anything else...

I'm a full time working mom of a 4 month old...

So I don't care if people say I'm lazy AND a pig...they can kiss my a.s.s. cause I'm the one going to work, and being up with baby 3 times a night and doing all the grocery shopping and laundry and cooking...

As long as you're doing right by your family...who really cares what "some people" have to say about it?

You are far from lazy! You have two full time jobs, school and your family. People don't always realize what a big job school is! Nor do they understand that babies take alot of time and effort, they seem to think babies sleep all the time and you don't have to do anything for them, Even I know that is not true and I don't have children! As for full time student, for everyone who hasnt been in school for a while, any student today is doing more than they used to in EVERY level of education. I wish you the best in your endeavors,dont let those people get to you they are simply jealous!!

I don't think you sound lazy, in fact, it sounds like you need a break! Don't listen to the people who tell you that you are lazy, because it's not true. Just do your best day by day, but Sweetheart, don't forget to take care of yourself! As a stay at home mom, I myself know that babys are a full time job, not to mention cleaning, cooking. On top of all of that, you are also going to school, wow, you go girl!

if you dont think your lazy why should you care what other people say. Invite them over your house if you are so concerned about and show them your clean house and just happen to leave your grades visible somewhere where the people can view them. Other then that, how bout the good ol' sticks and stones quote. Personally from what you said i dont think ur lazy

Depends. What do you do in your spare time-when your at home during the day? Do you NOSE around the neighborhood? NOSE around in other peoples business? NOSE around in the business of single people? Are you a DO GOODER on behalf of your school district? If yes-then you are a lazy person.

Hun, being a mom is way harder work than people give us mom's credit for. Cleaning and mothering is not equal to lazy. It sounds to me like you deserve a day at the spa!
