who was,or were, the first foreigners to play for a British football team? A friend said it was the Ribladeo (dunno If I've spelt that right) twins for Newcastle Utd possibly in the '30's or '40's

vincent angelo dundee played for preston north end 1888-? and was born in jamica he moved here when he was 5 but represented jamaica in the olympics as a 400m runner. so he is foreign
his grandparents moved to jamaica from england so he was not the first black player but was still jamaican
