2nd. I love the manager change. Texas is still a powerful club, but they will finally add a small ball dimension to their game. Lofton setting the table will be a good fit. I love the addition of Brandon McCarthy, stud is written all over him. But... Angels are just a better all around team. As for the wild-card. They'll have a chance... but with the Twins, Indians, Chisox, Detroit, Bosox, Yanks, and even Toronto. It will be very hard for Texas to keep up in that department. I say an 87-75 year. They are a number 1 starter away from being a playoff contender though.

Their position in the AL West is second or third place. Mariners will have fourth again and the Angles will take the division. The loss of Zito in the A's rotation will hurt them. So the Rangers have a good chance at second place. But, no playoffs or Wild Card. That will go to either the Yanks or a Central division team.

They have a good chance for the division this year... they added some pieces to their bullpen (gagne) and rotation (mccarthy) and their younger pitchers gained some experience last year and should be better this year... the offense really didn't lose too much - just some average players at best...

The other teams in the division didn't really do too much - A's lost Zito and got pretty much no one.... Angels added Gary Matthews Jr. from Texas who was obviously on roids and won't do that again... and the Mariners just got some small guys but weren't that good to begin with

so basically the division is up for grabs

i think of the Rangers are going decrease back to the international sequence. Who else is going to project them for the AL crown? The Yankees? probable, yet their pitching would not experience up against the Rangers. Plus they are looking old and banged up. The Orioles? they might probable be a extra appropriate experience up for the Rangers. they are youthful yet their stats up and down the lineup would not scream a set which could bypass all the way. do no longer think of the two the White Sox or the Tigers are going to conquer the Rangers the two. could the Tigers win the AL correct, they might scare the Rangers with their pitching. in the tip, the Rangers would be too lots for them.

The Rangers wont be going to far this year, I believe they will end up in third place again.

Seattle?! They suck. I like the Rangers' chances this year in an extremely weak division. Their new manager is going to make a huge difference.

They have a lot of offensive talent, but they have a subpar rotation. They could possibly finish second, because I'm not really sold on Oakland or Seattle....they your probably dreaming if you think they are going to get past the Angels.

The A's will do BETTER without Zito. This year belongs to the A's like last year did.
