Haha, because they hate to hear that the surge they protested so hard is working and bush accomplished something once again. Damn liberal media.

I actually have an answer for this...given by a local news station in the Twin Cities.

I had often wondered that myself and found myself intrigued when I heard a "teaser" on the local CBS station about a month ago regarding the issue.

They reported that the media does not report specific successes in Iraq for fear of making those areas/projects targets for insurgents. Now, I'm pretty conservative...but I kind of bought the explanation. One thing they did not make clear is if the media outlets were being "asked" by the government not to report these items.

Regardless, the media still has a left leaning bend when it comes to the war, almost seeming giddy to report when US soldiers or civilians die.

News media reports the bad much more than the good.
This is not something I blame exclusively on the liberal media. even on domestic issues its this way.

I think that the media should do a bit of a self examination of ethical behavior in reporting things in a balanced perspective though.

On ABC news last week, they did a 5 minute segment talking about how much Sadr city has improved, and how the people can freely walk up to American soldiers. So it is getting out there, I think the news media caters to the war opposing crowd, because that's where the majority in America is.

Put new batteries in your clicker and change channels if what you watch isn't keeping you informed. I've been reading and watching news concerning the changes in Baghdad for several weeks now and the surge isn't even half complete. I'm liberal but I keep my eye's open for the positive as well as the negative points.

are you serious no are you really serious, your media is so censored it is not even funny. they have done an amazing job at the fact that this war just killed over a million iraqis.

if only 1/10 of what we see got reported in the states i would love it.

This was all over the wires yesterday.

Besides, wouldn't your "liberal media conspiracy" theory be a lot stronger if you didn't link to a perpetrator? Where's your FAUX News link?

The funniest thing is I don't see any mention of this story on FAUX News site at all. Could the vast liberal conspiracy be contagious?

Well, since it's new news, I am assuming they haven't had much of a chance to report it until now. And, the fact that they did shows they can report both, which...hold on...may make them a little LESS biased?

Good news does not sell as well as bad news.

Good news is no news! Doesn't fit the liberal play book.
