Robert Urich died of cancer April 16, 2002. I once had the pleasure of meeting him during the filming of "The Ice Pirates," when I came to the set one day to see some of my prop whips being used. He was a true gentleman, very sweet, and funny. He also, quite frankly, had one of the most muscular and sexy bodies I'd ever seen. I'm six feet tall, and he towered over me. He was wearing shiny black spandex tights that left nothing to the imagination. God, he was a beautiful man. It's funny, too, because I never liked the show VEGAS, and didn't think I'd like him, but he just charmed me by simply being a nice, friendly man. Very down-to-Earth.
Too bad he's gone. Why does it seem like so many decent people die young?

I'm pretty sure he died from cancer a few years ago.
