Hi everyone, I've been taking the birth control pill (Marvelon 28.) since Feb. 25/2007, which is almost a month now. I've taking it on daily basis at almost the time time. So me and my boyfriend of 9 months we decided to have our private special moment and on March saturday the 10/07 me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. He cummed inside and we did it two more times and I took the pill that night.
On Sunday going to Monday (I take it at night time around 11pm-12pm) I don't remember taking but and on Monday morning I wake up at like 8am and took it just in case. Later that day I had cramps, Very strong cramps and at night my breasts were swollen and hurted like never before. My body is feeling sore, I thought it was maybe because of what happened on saturday but still right now I'm sore. I'm feeling tired and I sleep for hours, then i wake up but still feel tired. I can't touch my boobs because it's so much pain and just now I'm having spotting when my period is still in 11 days. [I have very very regular periods]. I've lost the appetite and I have like stomach acids and i feel like a pression on my stomach.
Me and my boyfriend are thinking that maybe those sympthons are side effects of the pill.

We did a complete test and we were both healthy.
im 17 years old and he is 19.
I don't need moral comments and people telling me that you should only have sex until you are married because it shows how ingnorant people are. thank you

Well who ever gave you the pill should have told you that the first month that you are on the pill you still need to use another birth control method.
Also the pill can give you all those symptoms, especially if it is not the right dose, so call your Dr or who ever gave you the prescription and see what they have to say.
There is a paper that came with your prescription - READ IT!

I was just like this about a month ago...I have been on the pill for about 2 1/2 months and I thought it would be fine to have sex with no condom either but then I started having these side effects too and I waited and waited till I couldn't wait anymore then I told my mom that I didn't feel well and had to go see my doctor she agreed. When I was waiting in the room I thought I could be having a reaction to the pill or I might be pregnant. When she came in I told her everything and she did some testing on me and I came out to be fine but I had a reation to the pill.
Now I am on a different pill and I am having sex most nights. But I am being even more care full by using a condom, the pill, and that lil patch.
So I hope this helped and don't let other people put you down. I'm sorry if this sounded like I did..and I didn't mean to if I did.

it could be sideeffects of the pill...i had a few of those symptoms when i was on it. if u just had sex that short time ago ur sideffects probly arent because ur pregnant (u could still be pregnant) but u wouldnt have side effects this soon. its only been 5 days. id go to the doctors. theyll probly do a papsmear but i dont think ur mom would have to know u had sex unless ur pregnant

the pill isn't totally effective. you should go to your doctor coz you might be pregnant but if not theres something wrong anyway. i hope everything turns out how you want it.

maybe your body is reacting strangely to sex-how rough was he with you that night? If not, the signs might point to pregnancy.

it could be a sideeffect of the pill but you also might have an STI (sexually transmitted infection) go to your gyno

no contraceptive is 100% satisfaction guaranteed, things always happen, go get tested
