Everybody always brags about how good thier marriage is. We all know that's BS. Somebody's gotta be lying about it. Either the woman (most likely) or the man.

See I tell the truth about mine and I'm straight to my wife about it. This does not make a perfect marriage but at least I'm honest about it.

If I am out and about with the wifey in the big city and I see a hottie, I got to say something like : "Yeaouch, those are some huge knockers or take a look at the behind on that one" And my wife will actually respond with a joke of her own. We enjoy this type of life.

And yes, I do not hide the fact that I will get freaky with some hotties if given the chance.

Anyhow, YOU marrieds, GET REAL already.

OK...who's this "we" you refer to? As in,"We all know that's BS?"

Are you saying I'm BS? Are you suggesting that I'm not telling you the truth? Or that my marriage is somehow the exception?

Did I ever say to you that we NEVER disagree about things?

No, I didn't.

The significant difference is this -> we know how to separate the big $hit from the small $hit, and we know how to compromise and work things out.

THAT is where people run into trouble, because they're so damn selfish and self-centered, that all they can think about is "me-me-me" and they're not willing to negotiate.

I'm as freakin' "real" as they get, Joe.

And if you want, I'll produce all the information necessary to prove that to you face-to-face.

Based on the negative and insulting tone of most of your "questions," I'm your worst nightmare - in spades.

Why? Because I know what makes a relationship work. I know what helps it survive.

I ain't talking some religious Bible-thumping stuff here, my man. I'm talking down-to-earth common courtesy, work things out kinda teamwork.

Chow down on this for a moment. Do you understand the relationship that exists between two police officers who ride together? They got each others' back. Period.

That's the way it is in a good relationship. She's got my back and I got hers. We're a freakin' team. We sail through the dark times as well as the good times.

Nobody's got one foot stuck in the back door, just waiting to bail out at the slightest hint of trouble.

You're in it for rich or poor.

No way I'm BS, man. No way.

I've got a list of vices, believe me, but lying is not one of them...

I for one, don't think marriage is so great. But I do believe in being treated with and treating my spouse with respect. Ogling someone else in front of your spouse is disrespectful. Cheating on your spouse is just plain wrong. Your wife has either already abandoned you emotionally or is just pretending to go along. In either case, she thinks you're an idiot. Sounds like you are looking to rationalize your jerk behavior to me.

What does gawking at women in public have to do with a perfect marriage?

If that's your standard of perfect, good for you. But why would you judge other marriages based on your own crude substandard scale?

your saying people are being dishonest by saying they are happily married, but you just said your happy. kind of contridicting yourself arnt you. and if people lie about there marriages it is only because they want to be discreet. I dont know many people who would be happy to say there marriage is failing and in trouble.
