tough question . maybe because they miss them orr maybe because they were such a big part of their life at one point & they want to see how they are doing even when they are apart & not together. good questionn.

To see how they're doing compared to them. Maybe they're feeling nostalgic that day and just want to make sure the person still cares a little. Usually, it's just a big waste of time!!!

Because they once had a connection and some trust so they need to feel a bonding of some sort. It doesn't necessarily mean they want them back.
