yes. neither has taken them to a title. its clearly obvious a rod isn't comfortable in a yankee uni. trade him while he's still worth all of what they can get for him..because in 4 years no one's gonna want to take a mid 30 year old power hitter during his declining years.
what yanks needs is pitching-trade a rod for prospect and a stud if possible.
torre has done a fair job so why blame him? but perhaps a change is needed-i don't see how anyone can not not make the world series with that lineup-..hell you don't even need pitching with that lineup. but see what happends when you don't give players the green light to steal bases? and see what happens when players don't stretch for that extra base hit? one can blame the players only so far-coach has to be more agressive with such fine players. stop wasting their talents let them play.

They shouldn't get rid of either. If A-Rod keeps screwing up in the playoffs, then they should get rid of him. Torre is a great manager. They should let him retire as a Yankee.

No and No!!
Torre is a proven winner and the Yankees were a team that was going in no real direction before he took over.
Arod is the best in the game. The only reason that the team should get rid of him is if they can get some pitching help in return because that is what is hurting them right now.

After this season Alex owns the decision to stay or leave. Torre is the best manager in the AL he should be given an extension to coach until he wants to retire for real.

Neither should be rid of at this point of the season. Why bring this question up now as the season is about to begin?
