The best you can do is to take a regular multivitamin, any other thing you want to do by yourself you must ask your doctor first.

There are two types of fiber which we need in our diet. Soluble fiber and Insoluble Fiber. Now you can and should always get your soluble fiber from fruit and vegetables (about 5 servings a day should suffice). For insoluble fiber, which is what we find in most fiber shakes out there, I would suggest Dr. Natura's Colonix Intestinal Cleanser. Granted the name may not sound too pleasant, it is absolutely the best tasting Adan best quality fiber supplement out there. They have the purest ingredients and, more importantly do not use sugar or aspartame to sweeten but use a natural sweetener called Stevia. In addition, Dr. Natura has thousands of satisfied customers including myself, and provides a 60 day no questions asked money back guarantee. They also have a hot line so you can ask any questions about the product by calling them.
You should be sure to always drink at least 8 glasses of water a day with a fiber supplement. Fiber can actually be quite constipating if you take it without drinking the required amount of water. Hope this helps.

The brand I've been taking is Konsyl, with citrus juice. It made as big a difference in my energy level as exercise, no kidding.
Don't eat peanut butter before taking it. Pop some beano. If you think you ever farted before...

Benefiber!....without a doubt. Its not gritty and it has no taste. It comes in powder form, and you can add it to food or drink. Coffee, tea, water, or kooaide works well with it. Just don't do soda, because it will take the carbonation out. This is one product that you will have no doubts about. My physician reccommended it, and it has caused me no discomfort, diarrhea, or gas.
