Since you are using Yahoo, go to the Yahoo site and locate the Pop-Up Blocker for your toolbar. It works great when activated. You may need a new toolbar but that is better than numerous interupts from those nasty things.
Solicitors, you opened email you should not have, probably. Do not open any email you have not specifically subscribed to. My rule is when in doubt dump. Report it as spam and do not ever think of opening it. Good Luck
