I think the laziest nation is America, and it started with online shopping. Have we gotten so lazy that we don't even want to leave our house to buy stuff. Ugh. What do you think?

thats not exactly true. many americans think that other countries think we are lazy when really we work a longer work week and have MUCH less vacation time per year. depends on which country you are comparing but we also go to college longer, my degree takes 8 years here, but in italy it would only take 4.
Now if you are linking lazy and obese thats a different story. America has a MUCH larger percent of obesity than any other country. we use the car more and walk less, if thats what you are thinking about then yes i guess we are lazy, but as far as how much we work and the time we devote to career we are not at all. My fiances family are european and they think that americans are overworked. but it is true that most of us are are overfed

The laziest Nation is the Nation which neighbors the most powerful Nation on Earth - but cannot bring forth its own self sufficiency - but to keep coming to the Neighbor with complete dependency, while many other countries further away are prospering wih self dependence and Nationalism.

I disagree with you, I think India is the most laziest and stone hearted nation. Piles of trash will be stacked on the street corners and no muncipal authority would take care of it. About being stonehearted, hospitals in this nation wouldnt admit a patient even in serious condition unless and until you made full payment.

This one's easy...it's Mexico! Why? Because they are too lazy to clean up their country, take charge of their corrupt government and to find something useful to contribute to the rest of the world. Instead, they look for handouts and come over here and take advantage of our system. America is not lazy! We work hard not just for us, but for other countries that aren't even grateful for it! Online shopping lazy? No, try convenient for the many households with 2 jobs and 3 kids...it's the only way we have time!

Actually studies have shown that Americans work more hours per year than any nation on the planet. Laziest? Must be either a middle eastern country or French.

I was going to pass this one up, but after reading the answers, had to jump in. Sorry folks, America !! The reason we work more hours and overtime is to pay off the abused credit cards that buy us all the toys that help us be lazy, Microwaves, remote control anything, instant food...You all need to rent "Idiocracy" the dumming up of America. Monster homes,Hummers, Jet Skis, WWF tickets, Prada or Coach stuff....We LOVE to waste money, usually money on loan ie: credit or loans.. I have worked in many fields and many people don't really get alot done, they play cards on the computer or gaming..or their on the phone with friends or family most days... Many people will bend over backwards to find a way to slack !!

Americans are lazy. We drive all day (and complain about it), Our food comes from groceries, Welfare is in place when needed ( for most people, who know how to manipulate it ), Entertainment is now on a screen ( you really don't see families at a park ( unless the kids have portable video games ).
Yeah we work 1, 2 or even 3 jobs but exactly why do we? So are kids can have the latest system or game?
I give my home credit, a laptop is only electronic. No pswhatever, no xboxwhatever. T.V. yeah one in every room
(wasted my money there, we listen to music all day)

We have allowed ourselves to become lazy by conveniece.
Not because we are.

how can you accuse America? Many countries in Europe are off from work practically half the year, many of us work all the time and a low amount of Americans rarely take vacations and when they do maybe once every 2 years

Philippines. If you observe the public official particularly the politicians, they just want to sit down and plunder stealthily the country's coffers and its people. And they are many and still counting as everybody wants to be in the club.
