My luteal phase is about 10 days, and my short cycles are 29 days. I ovulate at day 19, when I have a short cycle. I sometimes have longer cycles, of around 37 days, and when they're that long, I don't ovulate until around day 27.
If your cycles are on the longer side, you may not see ovulation for a few more days.

It depends on the length of your cycle. Your luteal phase, which is the time between ovulation and your next period, has to be at least 11 days. Otherwise, a fertilized egg will not implant properly. My cycles are 28 days and I wasn't ovulating until around day 18. I had a miscarriage my first pregnancy, so my OB gave me Clomid to help me ovulate earlier in my cycle. He also gave me progesterone to take from day 16 of my cycle until the end, or until the end of my first trimester if I got pregnant. The progesterone helps to sustain your lining and nourish the egg until the placenta is fully formed around 12 weeks of pregnancy. This helped me conceive my daughter and I am 14 weeks pregnant again. Good luck.

hi well i can tell you this i also used the clear blue ovulation monitor and it also did the same with me but i went to my dokter and he said that i'm ovulating normal at the time that i have to so dont worry yourself over that test you did rather go to your dokter and ask him. you dont say your length of you cicle but if it is 28 days then you have to ovulate on cd 14 so it also might be that your cicle is longer then you think.
good luck and hope you dont worry to much.

Yes, that is the reason it took me 2 years to conceive. I saw a specialist and he monitored my ovaries via ultra-sound. He could tell when they were ready to release an egg. I think I ovulated around day 21...

I usually ovulate the 17th day after my period (when I have one) so don't worry. Every woman is different. If you have irregular cycles, it's very hard to tell when you'll ovulate, but if you're regular, you will do so eventually. Good luck!
