unless you have a printer that prints borderless 3x5's than you cant

You can't, as most printers don't do this sort of printing very well.
However in Word, using Page Setup you can set the margins to next to nothing (0.2) - And then simply resize the image, this is generally a better choice, if however you think your printer can handle it, set it to 0 or 0.01

If your printer settings allow it, you can go into page setup, turn off borders, then go into your print options and check the borderless printing option. Mine does, but not all of them do.
