Did anyone see 300 and like it? I would give it a 5 or 6 on a rating of 1-10. the 1962 version was better its called "300 spartans"

The 300 Spartans (1962), look it up Chris A. Dont be a dummy, the book your talking about was wrote 30 years after that 1962 movie.

There was no "1962 version." 300 (the movie) is based on 300 (the graphic novel), an original work of historical fantasy.

maybe 1962 version was about 300 Spartans? i know Frank Miller has a graphic novel out, and that's what the movie was based on.
i saw it and thought it was both visually beautiful, and laden with events ripe for analysis. in other words, there was a lot more going on besides its aesthetic appeal. different themes like Communism vs Capitalism, Christianity vs Islam, East vs West, independence vs Reliance, gender roles b/wn men and women, etc. etc.
this movie was propaganda, but i loved it regardless of its implications. editing, acting, directing, and cinematography were incredible. when i left i felt like bein all manly and had this incredible urge to scream at someone then chop their head off. craziness.
also, it was loosely based on the Battle of Thermopylae. they nailed Spartan military strength in units and all, but they kinda demonized the Persian army. all in all, it gets a 12 out of 10 for me.

i would give it an 11. i loved it. and i don't know what you r talking about, the 1962 version sucked.

i haven't seen it and i don't plan on it. they made the movie sci fi and everything in it totally untrue.
