Congratulations, you're about to have a baby hun. 37 weeks is a good time...the baby is fully developed so don't be scared. I had my daughter at 36 weeks with no complications. You might want to call you doctor though. While you're having all this diarrhea, you might need to check and see if your mucus plug is still in tact. (Thats the plug that holds the placenta bag tight and protects the placenta from foreign type things...kinda what your snot does for your nose) When I went to the doctor after having these same symptons, she told me my mucus plug had fell out, but my water didn't break. She had to pop my placenta bag and I was ready to bring my baby girl into the world. I had just went in for a check up, You really shouldn't walk around too long without a mucus plug (LOL) I hope your ready for that first contraction. Giving birth has to be the sweetest pain to ever be blessed with.

The important thing is to listen to your body. You know your body and whats normal better than anyone and should heed your instincts if you think there is somthing wrong. I had the face swollen thing and thought I had preclampsia so I went to the doctor and on the way felt realy nausous, turns out i wasz in labor! My contractions were so small i couldn't even feel them!

Is your stomach cramping and that's why you are going to the bathroom? My friend went through this and it turns out she was in active labor the entire time. She almost delivered her son in the car-and she knew what labor was because he was her 2nd child!

You may want to call the doctor just to be safe...even you aren't in labor, you may have some sort of stomach bug.

At 37 weeks, you can deliver a healthy baby. It's normal for your bowels to clear out as your body prepares to deliver. Call the doctor if you feel worse or feel contractions. Good luck!

It's not uncommon to get diarrhea before you go into labour. It's your body's way of preparing for it. I had diarrhea the day before my son was born. You should see your doctor if you experience any more swelling in your face or hands, it could be a sign of preeclampsia.

Just my 2 cents........It is normal to feel blah this late in pregnancy. If you aren't having any pain I would wait to see your Dr. Unless your condition worsens and you fear dehydration. Try to drink things with electrolytes in them such as Powerade, they work a lot better to keep you hydrated.
But labor is probably not far off!

I'd call to get into the doctor earlier. Swelling in your face can mean preeclampsia, which is very dangerous. If you can't get into your doctors, go to the hospital and let someone there know whats going on and check you out.

Well, I had really loose bowel movements the day I ended up going into labor.... It sounds like you may be having a baby very soon!

I would call and talk to the nurse at least. It may be that you've caught some stomach bug going around. It is best to ask, it's what you pay them for. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
