Is the song "The Same In Any Language" from the movie Elizabethtown a remake or an original song written for the movie? (the song that Drew's cousin Jessie starts singing when he is telling Drew about his old band Ruckus and then it is played again during the credits with a woman singing it)
i've looked all over the place; i even have the director's podcast on music for the movie and it doesn't say.
i just feel like it's a remake but no one else has ever heard it anywhere else, so i dunno

It's a song that was written specially for Elizabethtown by Cameron Crowe and wife Nancy Wilson. It appears on the soundtrack from what allmusic.com says. While I don't have any definitve proof of it, I would guess that the woman singing it during the credits is Nancy Wilson.

I have the soundtrack and the performer for "Same In Any Language" is listed as I Nine. I can't say whether or not it's a remake though.
