I call it the "AntiBoss movement". There's a very cute software out there called that way, which hides any opened window just by hitting a key.

if you have Mac OS 10 it has a cool genie effect that minimises the window with a genie smoke effect, but I don't know a term for it other than "shrink" "minimize" or " roll up/down windowshade"

Don't minimize. Instead, use Alt-tab to switch to something that makes you look like you are doing something productive.
