I'm really interested on taping myself to audition for the MTV real world television series. Does anyone have any advice for what really catches a recruiters eyes? Or what can I do to make my tape really unique....serious answers please. Has anyone ever made it past the casting call or submission phase?

I've never really liked the show, but I think that you should be unique of course. Say some CRAZY things you've done. Try acting all perky at the beginning that way you get some attention. Try to show that you can be eye catching, you can start some drama, and do anything/say anything that you think would help make them think you would make ratings. TRY Looking at past seasons, and see which seasons did great and not so great. Then DONT COPY a character, but kind of use that character as an "IDOL"

I have gone to an open call before. The casting people did give us a couple of words of advice. When u send in your audition tape let the 1st. 60 seconds be really interesting. They go thru tons of auditions all day. You must stand out!

I completely agree! I actually were observing this practice because the first actual forged in 'ninety 2 and back then the homestead had a mixture of all forms of human beings. What exciting is it to exhibit screen a house finished of Barbies and Kens? no longer exciting! with any success the subsequent season may have some exciting human beings. Peace!
