Avenged Sevenfold musical influences range from Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Guns 'N' Roses to Billy Joel, Queen, and Elvis Costello. I even remember them mentioning Dream Theater also in their interviews.

i know that Slash of Guns N Roses was inspiration for Synyster. lol. but for the band here is a few i think. Iron Maiden, Bad Religion, Pantera, Megadeath, Metallica (in one of their videos M.Shadows is seen wearing a metallica shirt too! lol random fact lol), Billy Joel, Queen, Elvis Costello
