I know exactly what you're going through!! My friend has been doing that to me for almost a year now.
Obviously she needs a role model, somebody she looks up to. And she wants to be cool like you. It's sort of her way telling you that she likes you and your style.
I was so annoyed by that when my friend would copy me. So what I did was that I talked to her and told her kindly that I didn't really like how she always copied me and how it made me feel. You should do the same. Explain to her how you would like to hang out with other people besides her. Just be real with her. Your friend is complimenting you so don't go TOO hard on her-let her know how you feel. She may not even realize what she is doing.
If she doesn't quit or try to stop and find her own style, then stop hanging out with her for awhile. She'll see that if she wants to be your friend she needs to realize that you are free to have as many friends as you want and that she needs to find a little bit more of her own originality.
'Hope I helped! Best of luck!

I would tell her how you feel about this situation. Ask her why she is doing this. Maybe she needs a self esteem boost! Give her the benefit of the doubt and toss her some confidence...point out the good things in her.

Usually imitation is a form of flatery, but she sounds very insecure and a bit immature. I would try to boost her self esteem and tell her to be her own person. You may want to find new friends that are not like this.

She is a bit clingy, and also temperamental. If she is easily influenced, she might not always be your friend. Another individual might eventually lure her away form you (or maybe she will latch on to them!). In any case, you should be flattered. I know this can be annoying, but having a fan in your life might not happen often later on in life…

I think you shouldn't tell her to stop being like u because that's just going to hurt her feelings, but just try to insinuate it without telling her the whole enchilada or maybe have other friends insinuate it too.
