no ,but if you could there's no way to interact lets say you go back and kill Hitler before the war then it never happen but that's the problem it never happened Hitler was killed before the war started so you never had to go back to kill him therefore you didn't go back to kill him because it didn't happen but then the war did happen cause you didn't kill him time fixes itself but that's just my theory

Time travel is somewhat confusing to me because as I'm writing this, every second that ticks by on the clock becomes the past. Every intelligent person would agree that we couldn't possibly go back in time and shake George Washington's hand because he's been dead for over 200 years! There are some things about time dilation that I understand. However, traveling into the future still seems ridiculous because it would only seem like the future to whoever traveled to it, not to everyone else. Really, I wish it was possible because it is so interesting. IF I could go back in time, I would immediately pick lottery numbers that were winners in the future. I would go on to stop bad people like Hitler and probably change the outcome of some unfortunate events in my life. Still though, I do not think it's possible because time, as short or long the span is, never changes.

yes, and it already has happened, time travel into the future has already occurred. Astronauts orbiting around earth are aging slower than people on earth. But only by like a fraction of a second. However, the faster someone travels the slower time passes. Its strange, but that is how it works. If someone was in a spaceship traveling at the speed of light, for 10 years away from earth and then traveling 10 years back, time on earth would have been in the 10s of thousands of years. However, you will have aged only 20 years.

Einstein proved time travel is impossible. The only thing that is even close to time travelling is if you travelled at a speed close to the speed of light, but then you run into other problems and complications.

Now, if I could travel in time, I would go forward, not backward. There's no point in going backward in time, since you already know what has happened. Travelling into the future though, you don't know what to expect.

Traveling into the future is possible, by simply traveling close to the speed of light. (If you could call near lightspeed travel "simple")

If you were to hop into a spacecraft and travel close to the speed of light and a year elapses in shiptime, you'll deboard the ship only to find that it has been many many times that duration in "earthtime".

This is known as time dilation. Einstein laid the groundwork for this in his theory of relativity.

Its my understanding that travel into the past is impossible, or near impossible based on current theories.

All that exists in our universe is "present time". The physics trilogy describes our universe by three basic principles: E = mc2, m = E/c2, and c2 = E/m. Notice that the basis of all three of these thoughts is that of "c2". It is what all forms of mass and energy are composed of. It is what we are composed of, and it is known as "time", or how quickly the "present" folds into becoming that of the "past". This concept states that all that ever exists to mankind is "present time" with there being no manner for us directly interacting with either the past or future. "Time" is what we are made up of, and it is a specific value "c", and that is all it can be.

I believe time is relative. Past, Present, future depends on your own experiences. Instead of being linear, everything happens in the same instant.. it's just that we have our own perception of time and different experiences to define it.

Sure but I think that there is no going back. You can only go forwards in time.

Not outside of the normal time progression, no... While time dilation is a fact, I don't think it'll be significant to us (in our lifetimes, at least).

Sorry, it's impossible by the laws of physics.
