The difference between regular and petite clothing for women is the length. For example, lets say u try on 2 pant suits that r the exact same size but 1 is regular and 1 is petite, the difference will b in the length. If ur an average height woman, the regular should fit u perfect, but the petite will flood at the ankles and arms. Also, depending on how the blazer is made, it won't cover ur lower back as a regular suit jacket would. But if ur a short woman, u'll need a hem in the pants and n the sleeves on a regular sized suit. And once again, depending on how the jacket is made, it may come too long and look too big which can make u look even shorter.

I wear petite clothing because I am short. I do, however, find that the size is more in line with junior clothing than regular woman s clothes. This must mean that petite sizes run at least one size smaller than regular woman s size.

Petite is for shorter woman - 5'4 and under. Not only are they shorter in length but they do run a size smaller than average size. So if you were a 4 average size you would wear a 6 Petite.

Petite clothes are made for smaller lengths. like if you have short legs or arms, the clothes are modified in those specific area. I know this because i'm short statued and have to look for petites because regular pants and jacket sleeves are to long for me.

Petite is made for smaller people. Like if you have a short torso, or short legs, they are made especially for that. Petite does not mean skinny though, just height. You can be just petite on the top, and regular on the bottom, and vice-versa...

Petite is for the shorter lady, it's not necessarily a smaller size.

Petite women have smaller bone structure. To accommodate their smaller bodies, petite sizes were offered. Regular sizes accommodate medium to large boned women.
