It's March. Winter usually bites hardest in Jan & Feb. but March is "In like a lion, out like a lamb" so snow is typical of the time of year.

I'm not surprised, you can never predict british weather, one day it's sunny then it's raining or snowing (proof: Late snow in february) and because of global warming. But i love snow. :D
