I am looking for ideas on what kind of dates to go on with a gal friend I admire. And, who cares if she's gay? I still want to hang out with her. Although her signals she is giving tells me she likes me.

There was a guy I was interested in once and he used to pick me up at work and start driving somewhere and not tell me where we were going. That in itself was exciting BUT it might scare the crap out of someone who doesn't know you that well or trust you yet. We'd always end up somewhere random and weird, like a park in the neighborhood he grew up in where we'd sit on the swings and talk or other times he'd randomly drive me to the beach at night. One time he drove me to some strange restaurant his parents used to take him to that he hadn't been to in years. His whole thing was to not tell me where we were going. It was always fun being surprised even if the place we ended up at wasn't super exciting.
It probably helps that I live in NYC but I think it's something that anyone can do. Driving some girl to a secluded area in the middle of nowhere may make her think you're a serial killer though so watch out.

My most memorable date, although not a good one was when my then boyfriend and I were out dining in a restaurant with a friend of his. (His "hag.") The waiter was being very flirty with my boyfriend, so the "hag" said to the waiter, "I know my friend likes you, so write down your phone number so he can call you." And the waiter did.
The snatch did this right in front of me and my boyfriend was very embarrassed. But, of course he didn't correct her behaviour. He became history shortly after.
