How do you ignore people who make fun of you?

So here's the deal, these people in my class are really really steriotypical. I'm filipino... Today i did my homework & did my work, you do they make fun of me for that? I try to surpass the comments they make of me, but still i wonder...

Why do people always give the advice, "just ignore them and they will stop..." it NEVER worked for me, they just kept on making fun of me. Remember that success is the best revenge. I am now far wealthier, happier, and successful as an adult than those people who once made fun of me can ever hope to be. Knowing that these people will be losers some day, you can genuinely feel sorry for them and keep up the good work yourself. In the mean time, you can say, "I'm sorry you feel that way" or something and then move on.

for the most part, people usually dont see filipino, unless you make it an issue to force them to see. There are still the few lower life beings that will harass people that are different than they. You can report everything to school authorities and escelate the matter to bring more harassment, or you can wait till they corner you and fight back in self defense when they do come. then you can press charges against them with the police for assault and sue the parents, or have your parents sue them.
wickedness is NOT a total aspect of the filipino culture and in christianity. i have met many filipinos who will put to shame these other types of people because of their faith and righteousness. if you are a believer, Let your light shine, and maybe you can convince someone to change their life.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm a minority female that lived in an all white town. You want to know what I did? Ignore them and I mean IGNORE. As if they don't exist. Just like walking through air. And always remember that in this world there will always be ignorant, narrow-minded people. Especially in high school. I'm sure you're a bright intelligent person and don't ever take any of their comments personally. I never belonged in any clique because I refused to conform to any stereotype. Most people ridicule others because they are ignorant of that person.
It is very hard to ignore insults, and tosay it does not bother us. To respond back is sinking to low self esteem.

People who aren't doing well love to bring down those who are. Understand that . Act like you understand that. And remember---Success is the best revenge. What matters is, regardless of whom or what, you keep doing good for yourself. Now, when the losers start in on you, play dumb. Act like you don't understand a word they are saying, like they are not even speaking a language you understand. That's creepy. I have several Filipino friends and can't imagine making fun of them for that! You should just stare at them. It works. It unnerves everybody. Don't glare or smile, just stare with a straight mouth. I swear it works.
