With a 2.9 -- probably not.

With a 2.6 -- definitely not.

It would be hard to get into any UC school with those grades, let alone UCLA. Your best option may be to go to a CSU school for two years and (if you do well) transfer to a UC school.

I'm sure UCLA is very competitive and a 2.9 and 2.6 are ok GPAs but not great GPAs. I think UCLA wants a great GPA as well as a student that participated in numerous school activities. So I would say both are very slim chances.

Depends on your testing results as well. A 2.9 should not exclude you from gaining admittance. I would try to get a higher score on the tests though. A 2.6? continue with that same trend. It probably wont get you excluded, but will require a higher test score.

Its a state school. Their admission standards are slightly less than most private schools. That said, I got in to college with a 2.7 and a 28 on my ACT's. So, you still definately have a chance.

To be honest, pretty low. UCLA is a very good school. 89% of their students have a GPA of 3.75 or higher. 97% of students were in the top tenth of their high school class.

No, but if you do really good on your SAT then you might have like a 60% chance. Now if you play a sport and is very good at it then you can get in on a sport scholarship.
