I was just going through my bank account statements, and I paid over $1,300 in fees in the last 6 months. I get charged $15/month for just having my account, plus $6/month for online bill pay. Then, there was that time when I got trapped in Kansas during a Colorado blizzard, and I overdrafted my account (that gave me $500 in overdraft fees alone).

What's your banking horror story? Feel free to rant.

I don't mean to gloat, by I paid nothing. $0 and its like that every month.

I don't have overdraft on my account at all and I'm with a bank that doesn't charge any banking fees. The only fees I ever pay is if I use an ATM from another bank or an ABM. I don't even get charged for my interact transactions.

It's great!

i've paid zero in bank fees. Whenever i get down to having 200 dollars in my account, i stop spending money until i get my next paycheck. Always pay your bills the day you get your paycheck, so you dont over draft. I dont know what bank you are at, but i have never heard of having to pay that much for an account. Dont do automatic bill pay because they will always pay your bills at the time you dont want them to.

Zero- I use a credit union. I have free on-line bill pay. If I overdraft they take it from my savings. No charge for any of my 5 accounts with them (one checking; 4 different types of savings, Christmas, ira, etc)

Don't have one. My account is free, I do not pay on line and I do not write hot checks. Sorry.
