The discount rate depends on the group discount your broker gets. The adjusted amount is the what the % determines.

Usually it has to do with a discount that is directly related on certain criteria. I'll give an example...

If you have a discount where you will save 50% on a price of something if you buy $200 or more, and if you buy less than $200 of said product/stock, etc you only get a 25% discount.
