I always hear things in tabloids, newspapers, television about the personal lives of celebrities. Why do most people even care? It's almost creepy in the way that almost reminds me of some peeping tom snooping on his neighbor's house with a pair of binoculars. They make movies and music, in some ways it's just a different career, that doesn't mean Joe Blow has a right to snoop on what they're doing in their personal life.

I totally agree....there's nothing spectacular going on in their lives that other people aren't going through / haven't been through, so WHY is it news worthy? I could give a crap less who's sleeping with who, or who paid big bucks to spend 30 seconds with Michael Jackson!
If the media MUST tell us about the personal lives of celebrities, why not tell us about the POSITIVE things they are doing to make a significant contribution to society?

I so totally agree. I couldn't care less who is shaving their head and who is marrying who and who is having a baby.....please. People who feel like they have to have the latest celebrity news need to get a life of their own! I'm so sick of seeing Britney, Angelina, Paris, Jude, Leonardo......aaaggghhh! It's sad (and most irritating) to see it all over the screen. Did you see how many times they showed the grammy awards on TV Guide channel?

It`s the medias fault, they`re the 1 who showles this **** down ppl`s throats all the time. They should just stop reporting about celebs & the whole damn thing will evaporate & go away for good.

People have obsessive personalities, I should know I have one. I obsess over Ashlee Simpson even though I don't want to anymore. People like sticking their noses in other people's business and they like to see other people's faults, that's why tabloids etc. sell so well. I don't like Ashlee's faults, though...

Looking at a celebrity's life distracts one from taking a good look at his/her own life.

I don't know...They are just people like us...they just entertain us, I don't see whats so special about them...most of them have screwed up lives anyway. I wouldn't want people following me everywhere I go!

its beginning to get ridiculous the way poeples lives are dictated by 'celebrities' that are famous for being famous.
