It's a Denmark 1 Krone coin minted from 1972-1989 in copper-nickel alloy at the Copenhagen mint(the heart under the bust of Queen is the mint mark). However, your 1988 issue is an obsolete type because a smaller 1 krone with a different design was introduced in 1992 to replace the series like yours. The 1988 krone has a mintage of 32,073,999 and in circulated condition, it's worth $0.25 among hobbyists; also the price dealers would sell along with other world coins in a bin. A Danish krone is about US$0.18 in currency conversion, but this no longer applies to your coin.

Your coin is a 1 Krone from Denmark. Margrethe the 2nd is queen of Denmark.. Denmark did not switch to the Euro in 2002.Currently the 1 Krone is around 20 cents.

You have KM# 862.3 a krone from Denmark. It had a mintage of around 32,074,000. It has little collectors value here in the States due to very few collectors, collect small denomination coins. it should be about the size of a U.S. quarter. The older ones are silver and highly collectible. The values of currency fluctuates and the last figure I have, is that it takes 5.65 Krone to make a dollar.
