For those who you who have watched shows like Maury, Jerry Springer, and I Love New York, or the like (basically, sleazy shows), what is it about these shows that catches your attention? Do you find them so humorously ridiculous that they are seemingly worth watching? Do you watch in amazement and/or shock? Or, do you generally enjoy them?

I watch them for pure entertainment. I think all of those shows are moronically stupid and ridiculously dumb but yet when I want to laugh I watch those shows.

Maury and Jerry....they are good for mindless entertainment. It makes you realize that your life isn't so bad. After all, you aren't the one fighting on national tv because your boyfriends sister slept with your father in the back of you car.
I don't get I Love New York. I don't the the appeal in it. A bunch of man-whores going after a woman who isn't really famous. Where's the appeal in that? I'm sure that she will either; A) not find a man and have a second season of I Love New York, or B) have a show about her life with her chosen man. Either way, I'm hoping that her 15 minutes of fame is almost over.
I don't know that I would go as far to say that I enjoy them, but they can be entertaining.

I've never been able to watch more than 5 minutes of Jerry Springer and I've tried. Maury used to be better, but he's starting to get low too. Most people watch (I believe) because it's like a train wreck; you don't really want to see the blood and broken bodies, but you can't help but look for them. Plus most people probably like to watch and look down their noses at the idiots performing on TV.

I watch Maury and Jerry Springer for the fighting. And Maury's good for paternity tests, too. I love when the random dude's not the father and the lady gets up and runs backstage. That's just classic. : ) Maury is the Paternity Test King.

It's just hilarious how stupid and common those people are, I mean come on! Last time I watched a re-run of Jerry Springer and these two girls got married, but another girl arrived and slammed their heads into the wedding cake!! It was really, really, really, really funny... So, I guess it's just entertainment by the trashiest of people out there.

I only watch maury and the only time i actually watch is when they are doing perturnaty tests. They are interesting. All the other ones are crap

I watch montel and maury some of the shows that they play are quite interesting!

These people on these shows are so ridiculous they make me feel so much better about my own life to see how messed up these people's lives are. It's like a car wreck you don't want to see but you can't help but take a peek.

To be honest, I don't waste my time with such trash. I did meet Springer in Sarasota Fla (he had a house on Bird Key), and he is a real piece of filth.

They are uncomplicated simple humor, it gets on my nerves at times, but kinda fun to watch.
