You think zaphodsclone has something against dairy?
What a nut job. zaphodsclone says that milk can cause obesity well America is already #1 on that chart. You think when my mother was growing up they had formula? No and she didn't raise me on formula either. Cow's milk all the way babe from the time I was 1 month. I don't' have any problems.

My son is 11 months old and loves his milk and yogurt. I don't buy into that BS about milk. Those formula companies have to make money too you know. My son has been drinking whole milk for a few months now and couldn't be healthier.

Many times doctors will give you the okay at 10-11 months to have cows milk, I know my sister got the okay from her pediatrician at 11 months and he was just fine, I think if the baby was born prematurely they would tell you to hold off, but I would definately ask a doctor.

At or after one year a child should take whole cow's milk. You can put them on 2 percent or skim after two years of age.

Wait until after a year for any dairy from another animal besides you. His stomach cannot handle it yet. A month does make a huge difference in little ones, so stick it out.

Once he does drink milk, it needs to be whole milk.

I never understood how or why humans decided to start drinking the Milk of an animal that was designed for having 4 stomachs and gaining hundreds of pounds in the first few months of life.

Dairy products are a health hazard. They contain no fiber or complex carbohydrates and are laden with saturated fat and cholesterol. They are contaminated with cow's blood and pus and are frequently contaminated with pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics. Dairy products are linked to allergies, constipation, obesity, heart disease, cancer, and other diseases.

The late Dr. Benjamin Spock, America's leading authority on child care, spoke out against feeding cow's milk to children, saying it can cause anemia, allergies, and insulin-dependent diabetes and in the long term, will set kids up for obesity and heart disease, America's number one cause of death.

And dairy products may actually cause osteoporosis, not prevent it, since their high-protein content leaches calcium from the body. Population studies, backed up by a groundbreaking Harvard study of more than 75,000 nurses, suggest that drinking milk can actually cause osteoporosis.

There are loads of healthy alternatives.

okay to offer cow's milk whilst he's 1yr old yet attempt to introduce it slowly. I gave my son one million/2 formulation and one million/2 cow's milk whilst he replaced into 1yr, he enjoyed it even in spite of the shown fact that it upset his little tummy plenty, he stored throwing up. i replaced into extremely frightened, have been given an advice from a chum, who has 3 young ones, she advised me to offer him 10% of cow's milk in the 1st week then 20% here week etc.. it labored notably plenty. BTW, finished fat cow's milk no longer skim milk

You could probably try giving the baby a little milk(whole), and if his stomach can digest it, and he doesn't get constipated you could go ahead and switch him to whole milk. Only though, if the baby doesn't have teeth, it may not be able to eat enough to supplement the diet.
