What the hell r jock straps and what r they for?

A jock Strap is pretty much a pair of tighty whities without a butt. they really aren't used for protection. for protection you would need a cup which you place inside the jock strap if needed. It is mainly used for support.

they're the same thing as a cup. They consist of a strap that holds a hard plastic "cup" which goes over a guys jewls so they don't get hurt badly. Jocks will wear them, and fighters and stuff.
I know cause you've got to make sure boys wear them when you're teaching the martial arts or they'll get kicked and start crying.

Men sometimes wear them to keep their genitals together when they're exercising or involved in sports.
They don't provide much protection as their made of stech material.
