Being smart doesnt' necessarily make you wise, there are lots o book educated people who would not nevcessarily do good things. What we want it the top 10 WISE men. The problem is that wisdom is a hard thing to guage, and wisdom to me may be different from something this seems like wisdom to you.

Lol, that's quite an assumption there buddy. When you assume that smart people should be president, you assume they know an adequate amount about politics, interpersonal communication, government, etc. I believe people who specialize in government should run government. I know a physicist is smart, but I sure as hell don't want him running a government.

Intelligence does not guarantee leadership skills. Intelligence does not guarantee good judgment skills (Just look at Bill Clinton). You need leaders to be in positions of leadership, which is why Reagan was such a great President.
