I understand what your saying. It doesn't bother me neither. I mean really people if they cant say it in english in front of me than they are chicken sh!t and asking to have their a*ses kicked!
I wandered one day if I learned a few Vietnamese(thats the main people who do nails)words and see if they are said and then learn a sentence or something like i.e., "Hi" or "Its a pretty day isn't it?" or most definitely, "Who are you talking about?" ya know to mess with them! I believe they would freak out and not talk again while I was there! I'd get a good laugh out of it at least.

I stay in the nail shop so much , I can understand a little Korean. I know when their talking about me. I just happen to have a nail lady that wants so bad to be black its hilarious. People with self identity issues are kinda funny sometimes. She refuses to speak Korean, she'll answer in english. She taught me how to listen for certain things in Korean. I think anybody would get annoyed if all of a sudden two people look at you and start laughing and you don't know what their talking about.

Why is everyone so conceded that they think everyone is talking about them. I used to work at a thrift store where 90% of the people working with me spoke spanish. Let me tell you something, only about 1% of the time are they talking about you. If you are so paranoid and bothered by this, then learn another language and stop hating on someone for not speaking your language, thats called racism.

How do you really know they are talking about you in their language? To me it doesn't bother me. If it is that bad then pick up the art of doing your own nails.

I bother me too so I tend to go nail places where they speak my language all the time.

etiquette rules say not to speak a language that isn't understood by everyone in hearing range, but so few people seem to care about that...

I'm not personally bothered by it either, but it says something about the level of customer service if they're not more concerned about the comfort of their clients.

the only time it really bothers me is when they're on the phone & doing ur nails at the same time because then they dont really pay attention to what they're doing & do a bad job
