i have been rolling my own "large" cigarettes for nearly 25 years and have always used king size red rizla with no problems.
maybe you just need to refine your technique.The biggest mistake people make is to over moisten the glue ,less is more.

i know it's annoying my paper always rips half way through when i'm rolling it and when i light it it always peels away it so annoying
