"How to Save a Life"- the Fray. About a father trying to help his son with hisdrug addiction.
"Last Kiss"- Pearl Jam. A great cover of a very sad song.
"Tears In Heaven"- Eric Clapton. A classic.
"Evil," "C'mere"- Interpol. Real sadsacks who make good music.

Alot of songs on Biggie's Ready to Die album are sad and depressing. "Life's A *****" by Nas is sad. Alot of raps songs are sad :(
